New Brunswick has temporarily paused its Express Entry and Skilled Worker immigration streams due to reaching its federal-appointed quota for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This decision aims to manage the high demand and ensure that potential applicants are not submitting applications that cannot be processed within the current year.
- Effective August 16, 2024, the issuance of new Invitations to apply (ITAs) under the New Brunswick Express Entry stream are paused for the remainder of the year, as our full allocation for 2024 has been reached.
- Candidate applications that have been fully submitted before Friday, August 16, 2024 will continue to be processed. As well, candidates who have received an ITA before this same date remain invited to submit their full nomination application.
- Effective August 29, 2024, the issuance of new Invitations to apply (ITAs) under the New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream are paused for the remainder of the year, as our full allocation for 2024 has been reached.
- Candidate applications that have been fully submitted before Thursday, August 29, 2024 will continue to be processed. As well, candidates who have received an ITA before this same date remain invited to submit their full nomination application.
The temporary suspension of these two immigration streams is a strategic move to manage application volumes and ensure efficient processing.
