OCTOBER 07, 2024- The latest Express Entry draw, held by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), invited 1,613 candidates through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 743 was required.
In contrast, a previous draw on September 19 invited 4,000 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates with a lower CRS score of 509.
IRCC’s recent focus on domestic candidates, particularly through CEC draws, aligns with its strategy to reduce temporary residents and meet its annual permanent resident targets. Last October, IRCC held four draws, inviting 9,173 candidates.
