Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is hosting a new series of monthly information sessions for employers in Atlantic Canada.
If you are an employer, you can attend for free and learn about Canada’s economic immigration programs and resources to help you attract, hire and retain global talent. You will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Join IRCC Outreach Officers in the Atlantic, Hariana Brooks and Michael Frenette, for one or more of these 30 to 45 minute virtual information sessions.
- Work Permits – Temporary Foreign Worker Program: In this first of two sessions discussing work permit programs in Canada, we will discuss how to employers can hire global talent through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. This session will walk you through the process involved in these applications including Labour Market Impact Assessments and employer obligations.
- Work Permits – International Mobility Program: In the second of two sessions discussing work permit programs in Canada, we will discuss how to employers can hire global talent through the International Mobility Program. This session will walk you through the process, including exemptions Labour Market Impact Assessments, the International Mobility Workers Unit, the Employer Portal and employer obligations.
- Atlantic Immigration Program: Since the Permanent Program launched in January 2022, this successful program has supported Atlantic employers in their unique labour market needs. Learn about how you can address your hiring needs through this permanent resident program that is allowing Canada to benefit from economic Immigration Atlantic Canada.
- International Experience Canada: Learn how the International Experience Canada can fill your labour market needs. This will go over which countries participate in this initiative, the role of recognized organizations and how to get connected with foreign national youth
