Work Global Canada Inc Management & Uzbekistan Delegation Tour Eastern Canada

Paul Shelley, the CEO, and Wanda Cuff Young, the Vice President of Work Global Canada Inc. are thrilled to share that they will host a Labour Market Strategic Initiative with government delegates from Uzbekistan in the first week of October.

The initiative will see members from the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan collaborating with our management team along with key stakeholders in select cities. The collaboration will kick off in Toronto on October 1st, 2023. This will be followed by a series of meetings in Saint John, New Brunswick, then onto Halifax in Nova Scotia, and finally in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The delegation will then return to Toronto on October 7th.

Paul “expresses his delight in offering this significant opportunity with the delegation, a move that will not only strengthen our ties with Uzbekistan but also provide substantial support to Canada’s labour market.”

Paul Shelley over the past year has traveled to Uzbekistan, and both Mr. Shelley and Wanda Cuff Young have traveled to Washington, USA to meet with respective delegates from Uzbekistan. They are pleased to bring together representatives from Uzbekistan government officials, employers, workers, and private sector organizations to discuss the challenges along with the opportunities for future collaborations in Canada.

The delegation of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be led by the Head of the Agency for External Labor Migration, the Leading Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation of the Agency for External Labor Migration, and the Chief Specialists within the Agency for External Labor Migration.

Meetings and forums will present opportunities, and achievements, and will be a dialogue discussing enhancing skills development and employment opportunities in Canada. The delegation will also exchange views and experiences with other participants on how to address emerging issues and challenges in the labour market, such as skilled trade, migration, and demographic changes.

The delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with federal and provincial officials, as well as with regional and municipal executive business owners. These meetings will seek to strengthen cooperation, gain insight, generate dialogue, and foster partnerships toward a common labour market strategy.
